Exciting Developments for the Armstrong Creek Sports Centre

The Armstrong Creek Sports Centre is on track to become a cornerstone of the 3217 community. Exciting new information and stunning renders were recently unveiled for this state-of-the-art multi-sport facility. Designed to cater to a variety of sports and community activities, the centre promises to be a vibrant hub for locals.

The sports centre will boast four indoor multi-sport courts, offering ample space for activities such as basketball, netball, and more. In addition, a welcoming café and gathering space will provide a perfect spot for community members to connect. Comprehensive changing facilities and a dedicated sensory room to cater to the diverse needs of all users, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and included.

Outside, the centre will feature a civic plaza equipped with outdoor activity spaces. The design promises plenty of open areas for relaxation and socialising, along with dedicated spaces for basketball, netball, skating, parkour, and informal play, including nature play spaces and even table tennis. This multi-faceted outdoor area encourages a healthy and active lifestyle for all residents.

An exciting aspect of the Armstrong Creek Sports Centre is its commitment to sustainability. The centre is registered to receive a Five Star Green Star certification, illustrating a dedication to environmental stewardship and creating a space that aligns with modern sustainability practices.

The architectural designs for the sports centre have been crafted by Warren and Mahoney Architects and have included extensive collaboration with the Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation. This co-design approach ensures that the centre resonates with the local culture and heritage while serving the community’s needs.
