Biyal-a Armstrong Creek Library: A Vibrant Hub for Learning and Community Connection

Since its opening in August 2024, the Biyal-a Armstrong Creek Library has become a cornerstone for our Armstrong Creek, Charlemont, and Mount Duneed communities.

We knew that this brand-new library would make a significant impact, but we never anticipated just how profound that influence would be. Spanning an impressive 2,500 square meters across three levels, the library is much more than its remarkable collection of 30,000 books and resources. As you stroll past the large windows, you will witness a vibrant scene of life, children joyfully playing while parents connect and catch up. As you make your way through each level, you will be greeted by vibrant meeting and creative spaces that radiate inspiration and get to witness remarkable innovations springing to life in the media and makers’ areas, where imagination knows no bounds.

One of our favourite aspects of the Biyal-a Armstrong Creek Library is its engaging events designed for all ages. The library hosts a diverse array of activities that cater to various interests and age groups, such as creative journaling for parents, a hands-on art and craft program for tweens, the Lego Club for Lego enthusiasts aged five and up, and baby time, where songs and rhymes are sung. These events not only offer educational opportunities but also play a vital role in strengthening community bonds.

The Biyal-a Armstrong Creek Library stands as a testament to the power of community collaboration. It serves as a welcoming space where individuals can learn, create, and connect with one another.

Whether you’re seeking a quiet place to read, a venue for creative expression, or a community event to attend, Biyal-a offers something for everyone.
